This is the typical Preacher book Fury of the Mountain Man is a good Smoke Jensen story. He's also larger than life as he takes on a bunch of bad guys for some friends of his who are former gunfighters.

Good descriptions, lots of dead bad guys, gunfights, honor, honesty, a typical Smoke Jensen story. Note: the description for this book is incorrect The first book of the two book set, The Preacher book, was pretty good. The second book, Smoke Jensen, was only a low average. It was OK as part of a two part but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to get it just for it.

Part of what would evolve into the Smoke Jensen Mountain Man series. Books in this series are all excellent reads. The future reader may want to to start with this "Preacher" series before starting the Smoke Jensen Mountain Man series but it is not really necessary. This is another great book by this exceptional author.

I have read a lot of Westerns and you can not get any better than this. Monteuma's revenge? Smoke sick?

No way. He made friends in Mexico just as he had in the U. I was surprised how much I enjoyed this book. And that there was 2 stories in this book. Both were good reading. I would recommend this book to anyone.
